After a successful 2025 field season, our 2025 photo-ID gray whale catalogues for Laguna San Ignacio and Bahía Magdalena lagoon complex are ready! This season Bahía Magdalena lagoon complex had a total of 970 single whales (males or females without calves) and 6 females with calves and Laguna San Ignacio had 720 single whales and 8 females with calves. Three of the females with calves photographed in Bahía Magdalena were also photographed in Laguna San Ignacio.
