New Gray Whale Book Publication
We are pleased to announce the publication of our new book "Tocado"/"Touched", a bilingual book containing four essays that tell, for the first time, the whole story of how San Ignacio Lagoon was conserved from ruinous development by a legendary effort of science- and community-based conservation. Written by Steven Nightingale (author), Dr. Steven Swartz (co-founder of GRWM), José Francisco Mayoral (local naturalist in San Ignacio Lagoon), and Richard Nevle (Deputy Director of the Earth Systems Program at Stanford University); to give four different perspectives of how people stood together and worked together in favor of the survival and flourishing of gray whales and myriad other life forms.
